The second "Predrag Marić" Memorial Scientific-Professional Conference was held on March 20 in Belgrade, with a formal Academy being held to commemorate the occasion. The event brought together 70 authors, experts, and university professors who shared their experiences and knowledge on the importance of improving the work of competent services on prevention and timely response in emergency situations.

As part of the establishment of the National Center for Simulations within the "NEWSIMR&D" project, the first in a series of training sessions for the use of the newly opened NSC was held on February 20, 2023. .
The National Simulation Center for Risk Studies is a place that represents a base for scientific research, training, development and improvement of expert knowledge and skills, given that it is equipped with the most modern devices and applications. .
The meeting was held in the premises of the Faculty of Security Studies of the University of Belgrade on January 26, 2023. It was attended by 45 participants from seven institutions and organizations. .
Within the “NEWSIMR&D” project, supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, the first project’s Conference “Strategic and normative framework of the Republic of Serbia for mitigation of contemporary security risks” was held.
The consortium of four academic institutions - University of Belgrade, Faculty of Security Studies, Faculty of Engineering of the University of Kragujevac, University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies, and Strategic Research Institute, University of Defence will implement a three year project aiming to develop the National Simulation Center for simulation and modelling of security risks.
The NEWSIMR&D Project team has 12 members in total.
